Paigo is a Latin American fintech in the consumer lending space, catering to the unbanked through a fully digital ecosystem of financial products. In just a few years, it has acquired over 100,000 clients and was recently acquired by Banco Itaú, one of the largest banks in the world.
The Challenge
Paigo’s core value proposition is a simple, fully digital lending experience. To deliver on this promise in the Argentinian market, they wanted to streamline both the loan application and payment collection processes.
The goal was to create a frictionless identity verification flow and enhance user engagement through proactive, automated communication.
Marvik’s Approach
Working alongside Paigo, we implemented:
- Digital identity validation using computer vision to compare photographs of users and their national ID documents, validated against trusted sources.
- Integration with social media and WhatsApp for a user-friendly verification experience.
- A contact management system powered by NLP to automate payment collection messaging and proactively engage users through digital channels.
- A dashboard to schedule messaging rules and visualize all relevant contact metrics.
The system was built with Python, PyTorch, Transformers, and visualization techniques.
