This Privacy Policy explains how Marvik collects, uses, and protects personal data in connection with our website (https://www.marvik.ai) and our business activities as an AI consultancy and development company.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use, which govern your access to and use of this website. Where we provide AI development services to a client, the processing of that client’s project data is governed by the applicable Master Services Agreement (MSA) or Statement of Work (SOW), which takes precedence over this Policy for that engagement.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to all personal data we process including, but not limited to:
Website visitors — anyone who browses marvik.ai, submits our contact form, or emails us.
Job applicants and candidates — anyone who applies for a role or submits a resume or portfolio.
We process your personal data when you’ve consented to it, when it’s necessary to perform our services or comply with the law.
Scope — controller vs. processor. Marvik acts as the data controller, and this Policy describes that processing. This Policy does not describe how Marvik handles personal data that a client shares with us as part of an AI development project — for example, data embedded in a client’s datasets, models, or systems. When we process that kind of data, Marvik acts as a processor on the client’s behalf, and that processing is governed by our agreement with that client, not by this Policy. Section 3 below describes, at a general level, the commitments we make around project data.

2. Information We Collect

From website visitors: contact form submissions, emails, job applications submitted through our site, and technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information.
From client and vendor contacts: name and contact details of the people we interact with to manage an engagement.
From candidates: resumes, portfolios, and related application materials.
From employees and contractors: data needed for onboarding, payroll, performance management, and corporate administration.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data only when we have a valid legal basis, and in accordance with local and international data protection laws that apply in each case.
Our commitment on client project data. As noted in Section 1, data processed as part of a client’s AI project falls outside this Policy’s scope and is governed by our agreement with that client. At a general level: project data is treated as strictly confidential and kept logically separate from every other client’s data. It is used only for that client’s specific project and is never used to train, test, or enhance any AI model for another client. Outputs and inferences generated by a client’s AI solution belong to that client; we don’t retain this data beyond what’s required for support, and in that case it’s securely deleted after a limited time.
Recruitment. When you apply for a role, we use your data to manage recruitment communications and streamline onboarding.
Employees, contractors and suppliers data. For people working with us, we process personal data to maintain corporate records, present team backgrounds to clients, arrange travel and meetings, and meet legal obligations related to banking, payroll, and regulatory reporting.
Website and marketing. We use website and contact-form data to respond to inquiries, and, where permitted, for legitimate marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Information

We share it, whenever possible, anonymized and disaggregated, only with:
Service providers and subprocessors who help us operate our business (e.g., cloud infrastructure, productivity, and HR tools), under confidentiality and data protection terms.
Professional advisors (legal, accounting) where necessary.
Authorities, regulators, or auditors where required by law or contract.

5. Cookies and Website Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies on marvik.ai to understand how visitors use our site and improve it over time.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to collect information about site usage, such as pages viewed, time on site, and general location derived from IP addresses. Google may process this data according to its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Cookie types. The cookies we use may include essential cookies (needed for the site to function), analytics cookies (described above), and, if applicable, marketing/advertising cookies.
Your choices. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the site function.

6. International Data Transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the country where it was originally collected, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or the data protection commitments of our service providers, and obtain the necessary consent or authorization if required.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed to achieve the purpose for which it was collected, after which it is deleted or archived. We may decline or delay a deletion request where we need to retain data to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a regulatory request, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements.

8. Data Security

We do our best efforts to implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, and regular vulnerability assessments. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

To exercise your right to be informed, access, rectification, correction and opposition, email us at [email protected]. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity before responding, and we’ll respond in accordance with applicable law.
